20 September 2021, Apia Samoa. The Ministry of Commerce Industry and Labour have announced that there will be no daylight saving this year.
“There will be no activation of Daylight Saving Time policy for this year”.
The Ministry states that the decision is set out by Cabinet Directive (Faaiuga Kapeneta) made last Wednesday 15th September 2021.
Samoa has observed daylight saving time since 2010.
Had it been activated this year, Samoa would have moved an hour forward on the 26th of September.
