25th October 2021, Gvt Press Release. Cabinet at its meeting FK (21)42 discussed and thereby approved the schedule of final repatriation flights from New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, for the rest of 2021.
The published schedule includes flights that would take seasonal workers to Australia and New Zealand, including one just before Christmas, on the 23rd December 2021 for seasonal workers to Australia.
The main purpose of the scheduled repatriation flights is to bring home seasonal workers, students studying overseas and other citizens before the festive season. The last flight for the year is scheduled for the 9th of December, to ensure no one is in quarantine over Christmas.
A flight initially planned for the 28th of October, has now been confirmed postponed to the 13th November, 2021.

The National Emergency Operation Centre (N.E.O.C.) has been tasked to coordinate and monitor these flights, while the Ministry of Health continues to lead the COVID-19 border protection, through enforcement of compliance with Samoa’s travel advisory.
