Happy Wednesday Saints.
Colossians 1:13 “HE HAS RESCUED US FROM THE DOMINION OF DARKNESS AND BROUGHT US INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON HE LOVES.”
As we saw yesterday, we have an enemy who wants to rob you of your peace. He wants to rattle you and get you off track with your relationship with God.
Saints, WE ALREADY HAVE AN ENEMY.
The job of “false accuser” has already been taken. And so have the positions of liar, thief, destroyer, murderer, deceiver, tempter, seducer, manipulator, stirrer, troublemaker, evildoer, lawbreaker and disrupter. He likes to cause trouble, provoke anger, spread lies, judge harshly, and cause division.
We ALREADY have someone who wants to cause harm and crush people’s spirits. Someone who wants to tear people down with harsh words and destroy their confidence.
We already have an enemy, so why would anyone want to join the devil in bringing others down?
We are God’s children. He rescued us out of the dominion of darkness, and we now belong to the KINGDOM OF THE SON HE LOVES. We are people of love, hope, faith, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, compassion, and grace.
We are called to build one another up and encourage each other to continue walking in love and doing good works.
Ephesians 4:3 says to “MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH THE BOND OF PEACE.”
We all have a part to play in keeping our families and churches united and strong. We ALREADY have a common enemy. Let’s not be the devil’s advocate and cause more division.
Walk in the light. Bring people together and MAKE EVERY EFFORT to keep the unity of the spirit. Use your words to edify, inspire, encourage and bring hope to others.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:9, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED SONS OF GOD.”
