Be Rich in good works, Generous to those in need and Always ready to Share with others

Happy Wednesday Saints.

1Timothy 6:18 “TELL THEM TO USE THEIR MONEY TO DO GOOD. THEY SHOULD BE RICH IN GOOD WORKS AND GENEROUS TO THOSE IN NEED, ALWAYS BEING READY TO SHARE WITH OTHERS.”

David Green, the founder of Hobby Lobby, a popular arts and crafts chain in America, said, “…from the very beginning, our purpose was to honour God in all that we did. We worked hard, and God gave the results. As we were blessed by God, WE SAW IT AS A PRIVILEGE TO GIVE BACK. We’ve been able to PROVIDE HOPE through supporting ministries and planting churches all over the world.”

They’ve got over 900 outlets in 47 states, and they employ over 43,000 people. The Lord has truly blessed them. But they know that they have been BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING.

It is a privilege for us to be used by the Lord to GIVE to others. Success and wealth don’t make us more special than anyone else – they make us more responsible.

Deuteronomy 15:11 says, “THERE WILL NEVER CEASE TO BE POOR IN THE LAND; THAT IS WHY I AM COMMANDING YOU TO OPEN WIDE YOUR HAND TO YOUR BROTHER AND TO THE POOR AND NEEDY IN YOUR LAND.”

The honourable woman in Proverbs 31 “OPENS HER ARMS TO THE POOR AND EXTENDS HER HANDS TO THE NEEDY.” (Verse 20)

ALWAYS BE READY TO SHARE what you’ve been blessed with. BE RICH IN GOOD WORKS. Be rich in generosity and provide some hope to those around you. Let them see the practical outworking of God’s love through your selfless giving.
