Be Merciful to Others Just as Your Father is Merciful to You

Happy Wednesday Saints.

Psalm 41:4 “HAVE MERCY ON ME LORD; HEAL ME FOR I HAVE SINNED AGAINST YOU.”

Have you ever needed to cry out to the Lord to have mercy upon you? Have you ever messed up so badly that you felt like you could never be forgiven?

Apart from Jesus, I don’t know anyone who has never sinned. The Bible tells us that ALL of us have sinned and that we ALL fall short of His glory.

It’s incredible how quickly we can forget that we have ALL sinned and how little mercy we have when other people mess up.

When you were down and disheartened by your own sin, did other people’s judgement of you and their harsh criticism make you want to change? Probably not.

Jesus said in Luke 6:36, “BE MERCIFUL, JUST AS YOUR FATHER IS MERCIFUL.”

The same God that we ALL cry out to for mercy when we’ve sinned tells us to be MERCIFUL to others.

How have you been lately with those around you? Have you been forgiving and compassionate? Have you extended them some mercy and grace?

The next time someone sins against you or against someone else, remember to treat them the same way you’d like to be treated if you had done wrong.

Jesus said in Luke 6:37, “DO NOT JUDGE, AND YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED. DO NOT CONDEMN, AND YOU WILL NOT BE CONDEMNED. FORGIVE, AND YOU WILL BE FORGIVEN.”

Today’s a great day to be merciful and compassionate. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
