Samoa Police have launched an investigation into the death of a Virgin Australia pilot found dead in his hotel room on Sunday morning.
Police were alerted at around 10am on Sunday morning, Deputy Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Tiai-Keti told Samoa Global News.
Papalii says the Samoa Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are currently investigating the incident “as a homicide” awaiting the Coroner.
“He was 64 years old,” confirmed the Deputy Police Commissioner.
Police say they are also awaiting the attending doctor’s medical report, and have not yet ruled out self-harm.
