23 February 2019, Apia Samoa. Samoa College Old Pupils Association (SCOPA) has retained the Apia Union shield for 3 weeks in a row with a 44-12 win over Alamagoto.
Alamagoto with new recruits in the backline led 12-10 at half time but the more experienced AST SCOPA side fought back to secure the win.
SCOPAs team management say that the team are in a development stage and that team captain Arnold Meredith has shown great leadership to encourage the young players.
Also seen putting his boots back on to help out in the forwards is SCOPA coach/manager, 33-year old Taito Louis Lene who proves that one is never too old to play club rugby.
