04 March 2019. Auckland New Zealand. Are you waiting for an apology?

In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus said to ask the Father to “FORGIVE US OUR SINS AS WE HAVE FORGIVEN THOSE WHO SIN AGAINST US.”  (Matthew 6:12)

He didn’t say to ask the Father to forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who admitted that they did wrong, or have shown signs of true repentance, or have sincerely apologized, or asked us for forgiveness.

No, He said to ask the Father to forgive us AS WE HAVE FORGIVEN THOSE WHO SIN AGAINST US.

Part of our Christian maturity is learning to forgive those who’ve wronged us so that we can live free from the heavy burden of bitterness and receive the Father’s forgiveness for our own sins.

Just like countless others, YOU NEED FORGIVENESS TOO. Perhaps it’s time to forgive others who’ve sinned against you and let God be their judge.

Don’t wait for them to apologize.

Let it go, travel light and be free.

God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
