The first try of the match came in the second half with Saelua Seleti going over the tryline to put the first points up on the scoreboard.

Seleti converted her own try to make it 7-0.

Captain extraordinaire then crossed over for a second try after running the length of the field. She then again kicked the conversion to give her side the lead 14-0.

A late try by Maroons before full time ended the women’s final with 19-0 on the scoreboard.
