16 January 2019, Apia Samoa. The EFKS Hall at Mulinuu was packed yesterday as families, friends and church members of the 23 candidates who had passed the Malua Theological College entrance exam awaited the results of the “Tautinoga”.
The Tautinoga is a stringent interview process that is conducted by the High Council of the EFKS church, Komiti o Toeaina Faatonu, to test character, attitudes and behaviour of the candidates. The criteria now also includes a medical certificate to ensure candidates are maintaining their health.
The Church has announced that all 23 candidates have successfully completed this last step of the process and will now prepare to enter Malua as 1st year students in 2019.
Of the 23 listed, 18 candidates will be accompanied by their wives while 5 are not yet married. The five single aoao entering Malua this year are:
1. Falevaai Ah Kuoi – Faleata
2. Frazer Taua’ivale – Amerika.
3. Ioane Vaiao – Aana.
4. Paul Mulitalo – Apia i Sasa’e.
5. Russel Leautuli – Apia.
