In His great Love, God reached out and made us part of His family

Father, thank You for choosing me and adopting me into Your family. Help me to live each day confident in Your love and secure in my identity as Your child.

Ephesians 1:5 “In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.”

There’s something deeply moving about the image of adoption. It speaks of choice, compassion, and belonging. When Paul describes our salvation as adoption, he’s showing us that God didn’t just pardon our sins and leave us at a distance—He brought us all the way home. He chose us, welcomed us, and gave us His name.

Before Christ, we were spiritual orphans—lost, without hope, and without a true identity. But God, in His great love, reached out and made us part of His family. This adoption wasn’t out of obligation or pity; it was “in love” and “according to His pleasure.” God wanted us. It brings Him joy to call us His sons and daughters.

When we grasp this truth, it changes everything. We no longer live under the shadow of rejection or fear. We can walk in the security of being fully loved, accepted, and known by our heavenly Father. We are no longer defined by our past, our failures, or what others think of us—we are defined by our adoption into God’s family.

So today, let your heart rest in this truth: you are not merely tolerated—you are treasured. You belong. You are a child of the King.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for choosing me and adopting me into Your family. Help me to live each day confident in Your love and secure in my identity as Your child. Thank You that I’m no longer an orphan, but an heir through Jesus Christ. In His name, I pray. Amen.

Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
