STRENGTH IN YOUR INNER BEING
Ephesians 3:16–17
“…that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”
After kneeling before the Father, Paul begins to ask for something every believer desperately needs: STRENGTH IN THE INNER BEING.
We often pray for strength in our circumstances—and God cares about those things—but Paul goes deeper. He prays for strength where it matters most: the inner life, the place where faith is shaped, convictions are formed, and Christ takes root.
Paul reminds us that the resources God draws from are endless. He doesn’t strengthen us out of scarcity or limitation—but out of His glorious riches. There’s no shortage in God. No exhaustion in God. No “not enough” in God.
And the strength He gives isn’t human effort or motivational energy. It is power through His Spirit—power that renews, steadies, and carries us through seasons when our own strength fails.
Paul isn’t talking about a quick visit; the word “dwell” means to settle in, to make a home. He’s praying that Christ would take full residence in our hearts—not as a guest, but as Lord. This happens through faith, as we trust Him in the daily details of life.
When Christ dwells in us, He reshapes our desires, stabilises our emotions, and anchors our identity.
Inner strength and Christ’s presence go hand in hand.
God’s goal isn’t to make us stronger on the outside—He’s building strength on the inside. A STRENGTHENED INNER LIFE PRODUCES A STEADY OUTER LIFE. Christ dwelling deeply within us creates the kind of faith that lasts, endures, and grows.
Prayer:
Father, strengthen me today in my inner being by the power of Your Spirit. Let Christ dwell deeply and comfortably in every part of my heart. Shape my desires, renew my mind, and anchor my faith. May Your strength sustain me, and may my life reflect the presence of Jesus within me. In His name, I pray. Amen.
Have a wonderful weekend. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
