A relationship with Jesus can truly transform your life

“ Trying to fix people BEFORE they believe in Christ as their Savior is like trying to clean a fish BEFORE you catch it.”

Happy Tuesday Saints.

John 3:16-17 “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM, SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT TO SAVE THE WORLD THROUGH HIM.”

God’s love for you and me wasn’t just sentimental. His love compelled Him to DO something about our greatest need. His love sent His ONE AND ONLY SON as a substitute for us.

As we’ve already seen throughout this month, Jesus bore our sins and took our place on the cross. And because He did ALL the work, our salvation simply requires faith! WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

Romans 10:10 says, “FOR IT IS WITH YOUR HEART THAT YOU BELIEVE AND ARE JUSTIFIED AND IT IS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU PROFESS YOUR FAITH AND ARE SAVED.”

Faith is of the heart. When we trust in Jesus alone as the One who bore our sins, we receive God’s gift of everlasting life.

Sometimes, well-meaning Christians preach sin and condemnation as a way to reach the lost. They spend most of their time telling others what’s wrong with them and what they need to “give up” in order to come to God. When we judge and condemn others, we inadvertently push them away from the very One who can help them change their lives.

Trying to fix people BEFORE they believe in Christ as their Savior is like trying to clean a fish BEFORE you catch it.

Instead of trying to transform people’s lives BEFORE they come to God, give them the gospel (the good news) so that they can start a relationship with the only One who can truly help them change.

We are saved by grace THROUGH FAITH. And as we begin to walk with God, He helps us overcome our weaknesses and become all that we can be IN Christ.

Have a great, Christ-centered day.
God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
