Happy Monday Saints.

Proverbs 14:30 “A HEART AT PEACE GIVES LIFE TO THE BODY, BUT ENVY ROTS THE BONES.”

Envy is when you feel dissatisfied with what you have after you compare yourself with others, and it often results in coveting other people’s possessions or advantages.

It makes you jealous, and it robs you of your peace and joy.

Galatians 5:21 lists “ENVY” as one of the “ACTS OF THE FLESH.” So, it’s also a form of selfishness, making it the complete opposite of love. In fact, 1Corinthians 13:4 states that “LOVE DOES NOT ENVY.”

At the root of envy is a dissatisfied heart. People experience it when they don’t have what they desire. When we allow our envy to consume us, it will eventually ROT OUR BONES and make us sick.

We cannot be envious and at peace at the same time.

We must all learn to BE AT PEACE with what we have and what we are able to do. And the key to having peace with what we’ve got is gratitude. Instead of counting other people’s blessings, count your own and thank God.

As for the good things that you are yet to possess and experience yourself, delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires in due season.

God bless, and have a fabulous week. Lots’a love,
Warren
