FAITHFULNESS IS RARE
Proverbs 20:6 “Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?”
In a world full of promises and declarations, faithfulness stands out as a rare and precious trait. Many people say they are loving, loyal, or dependable—but when pressure comes or things get inconvenient, their actions often tell a different story. Today’s proverb points out this discrepancy. Words are easy; it’s our actions over time that reveal whether we are truly faithful.
Faithfulness isn’t flashy. It’s shown in quiet consistency, in keeping your word when no one is watching, in standing by someone during hard times, and in continuing to show up when it’s easier to walk away. Whether in our relationships, our commitments, our work, or our walk with God—faithfulness proves itself in the long run.
And while it may be rare, faithfulness is deeply rewarding. A faithful person earns trust, builds deep relationships, leaves a legacy, and is often promoted by God because they can be trusted with more. Jesus said, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21)—not “well-spoken” or “well-intentioned.”
In a world of big talk and little follow-through, God calls His people to be different—faithful in love, loyal in service, and steady in purpose.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being unfailingly faithful. Help me to live a life that reflects Your steadfast love. Teach me to be faithful in small things and big things, in public and in private. May my life be marked not by empty claims but by consistent action. Strengthen me to persevere when it’s hard, and let my faithfulness bring You honour. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
