Jeremiah 31:3

“I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE, THEREFORE I HAVE CONTINUED TO EXTEND FAITHFUL LOVE TO YOU.”

Happy Tuesday Saints.

God loves you. And as we saw yesterday, we rely on His love for us so that we can love others.

When God becomes our source of love, how we love and treat others won’t depend upon their treatment of us.

Without God’s love for us, we wouldn’t be able to obey Christ’s command to “LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO MISTREAT YOU.” (Luke 6:27-28)

Loving ONLY those who love us is a shallow, narrow-minded, childish, and selfish kind of love. It isn’t meaningful love at all.

Jesus said in Luke 6:32 “IF YOU LOVE ONLY THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE YOU, WHY SHOULD YOU RECEIVE A BLESSING? EVEN SINNERS LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE THEM.”

As children of God, true Christ-like love is supposed to be what differentiates us from the rest of the world.

While the rest of the world extends kindness and love to people they think are deserving, we are to love our enemies. While they do good to those who love them, we do good to those who hate us. While they bless those who bless them, we bless those who curse us. While they pray for those who are kind to them, we pray for those who mistreat us.

A Christ-like life is a life of love. Follow Him and be blessed!

Have a God-inspired, loving day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
