Love Keeps No Record of Wrongs, Forgive them, let it go, and be free

But true love keeps NO RECORD OF WRONGS, and it wipes the accounts clean. Do you need to give someone a clean record in your heart today?

Happy Monday Saints.

1Corinthians 13:5 says that love “KEEPS NO RECORD OF WRONGS.”

Unforgiveness does the complete opposite of love. It holds on to the past, and it keeps rehearsing what others have done wrong over and over again.

The resulting bitterness uses the pain and resentment as an excuse to mistreat those who’ve hurt us.

The Greek word translated ‘record’ is ‘logizomai’, and it’s an accounting term that means ‘to make an account of.’

Some people like to keep an account of others’ mistakes, weaknesses, and faults.

It’s difficult to move forward when one or both parties keep reviewing past records.

But true love keeps NO RECORD OF WRONGS, and it wipes the accounts clean. Do you need to give someone a clean record in your heart today?

Your forgiveness may not change their destructive behaviour, but it will FREE YOU from the temptation to repay evil for evil, and it will allow you to live free from the suffocating grip of unforgiveness.

With God’s help, it can be done. Forgive them, let it go, and be free.

God bless, and have a great week. Lots’a love,

Warren.
