Happy Thursday Saints.

James 4:1 “WHAT CAUSES FIGHTS AND QUARRELS AMONG YOU? DON’T THEY COME FROM YOUR DESIRES THAT BATTLE WITHIN YOU?”

The above questions cut to the core of human nature and expose the root of much of the conflicts we experience in our relationships.

Our conflicts don’t arise from external circumstances or other people’s actions but rather from the desires that battle within us.

Our desires, when unchecked and uncontrolled, can lead to discord, jealousy, and strife.

When we become consumed by our own wants and needs, we are more likely to engage in fights and quarrels with others.

Our selfish desires can blind us to the feelings and perspectives of those around us, leading to misunderstandings and hurtful interactions.

As followers of Christ, we are called to a higher standard of living. We are called to walk in humility and love, to put the needs of others before our own, and to seek peace and reconciliation in our relationships.

When we allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts and minds, our desires align more closely with God’s will, and we can overcome the conflicts that threaten to divide us.

Let us take a moment to reflect on our own hearts and motives. Are there desires within us that are causing strife in our relationships? Are we willing to humble ourselves, seek forgiveness, and extend grace to those we have wronged?

Let’s remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:9, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS, FOR THEY WILL BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD.”

Have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,

Warren
