Manu Samoa’s Head Coach Lemalu Tusi Pisi has named two potential debutants in his side to take on the Americans in Denver this weekend.
After an impressive season in Perth, Potu Leavasa has earned himself a spot on the bench and is very likely to make his debut this weekend for Samoa.
The powerful lock who formerly played for Moana Pasifika will be joined by another potential debutant, Abraham Papali’i.

Papali’i currently plays his rugby in France for Castres Olympique as a loose forward.
Papali’i and Leavasa will look to use their size and power off the bench as impact for Tusi Pisi’s side.
Additional changes to the side is hooker Pita Anae-Ah Sue who isn’t included in the side.
He is replaced by Luteru Tolai who is promoted from the bench with veteran Ray Niuia covering the hooker position in the 16 jersey.
Olajuwon Noa replaces Taleni Seu at blindside flanker completing the loose trio with Alamanda Motuga and Iakopo Mapu.
Connor Tupa’i is the only change to the backline at halfback. He replaces Joel Lam who is out of this week’s side as Melani Matavao makes his return from the bench.
A surprise addition to the squad is veteran Christian Leali’ifano.

He has been brought in by Lemalu this week to cover the first five position from the bench.
Leali’ifano will provide and calm and steady presence to the side given his vast experience in international rugby.
Samoa kick off against America in the 5th/6th play off of the Pacific Nations Cup at 7:35am (Samoan time) on Monday 15th September.
