LEADING WITH TRUTH
Proverbs 26:7 “Like the useless legs of one who is lame is a proverb in the mouth of a fool.”
A leader without integrity may speak wise words, but they carry no weight because their life contradicts them. Their leadership is crippled—unable to move people toward righteousness.
Nothing destroys trust in leadership faster than hypocrisy. A crooked leader may speak of justice, but their actions are corrupt. They may preach accountability, but they don’t want their doctrine or decisions to be questioned. They may demand transparency, yet hide their own wrongdoings. Their words might sound wise, but without integrity, they carry no weight.
God’s leaders are called to a higher standard—not only to speak truth but to live it. Integrity is the backbone of spiritual leadership, and hypocrisy is its downfall. A leader who lives out what they proclaim will inspire change; a leader whose life contradicts their message will only breed cynicism and division. Real authority comes when the truth in our mouths is matched by the truth in our hearts and actions.
Prayer:
Father, give us discernment so we are not easily deceived by charismatic leaders who know all the right words but live by a different love. Help us to measure leadership not by charm or eloquence, but by integrity, humility, and faithfulness to Your Word. Keep our hearts anchored in Your truth so we follow those who truly follow You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a fabulous day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
