The Samoa Shipping Services have confirmed there are 14 Samoan sailors employed on the MSC Poesia which will dock in Apia Harbour on Wednesday 18 February 2023.
Built in 2008 and recently refurbished in 2021, the MSC Poesia is currently on a World Tour covering 53 destinations in 119 days, says SSC.
And that World Tour brings the Musica-class cruise ship to Samoa thus week.
The MSC Poesia cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 1,275 staterooms for 2,550 passengers (while it’s stated maximum capacity is 3,060).
The 14 Samoan sailors are part of the 1,040 crew-staff that service the cruise ship.
The cabins are modern and equipped with bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar and safe.
The inside cabins are about 13 square meters, the outside cabins about 16 square meters. The balcony cabins already measure 17 square meters and the suites convince with a great 31 square meters. The suites have a bath instead of a shower.
